The Second Trimester

Sorry for the delay everyone. I know it's been a while since we've updated our blog, but nevertheless, we have lots to get to.

As we mentioned in our last post, the first trimester was not kind to Natalie. Nausea, vomiting, restlessness and the such. Thankfully, the same could not be said for Natalie during her second trimester. Natalie has endured a much more pleasant second trimester. No needles, medications (other than prenatal vitamins) or nausea. Her belly has begun to grow at a more rapid pace and has been "showing" much more as of late.

The second trimester also brings baby shower planning! We want to thank everyone that is involved in helping to plan and coordinate the shower. One of the more exciting parts of planning for the baby shower is scanning items for the registry. We seriously spent like 4 hours at Buy Buy Baby (can you tell the tone of excitement in that sentence). It was a truly eye opening experience. There were so many different types of bottles, formulas and an entire wall of pacifiers (really?!).  It was a bit overwhelming, but we had fun picking products for our future little one. We are looking forward to seeing our family and friends at the baby shower. See you there!

We have also realized how infrequent Natalie has to go in for doctor visits. After having several visits with the doctor during the IVF process and the first trimester, Natalie has only gone monthly for follow ups. Also, no new ultrasounds. Apparently, ultrasounds are not needed unless medically necessary. Doesn't the doctor know we want to see our baby! Our next visit is coming up in June, hopefully we'll get to see our little one then.

So 25 weeks down and 15 to go. We'll definitely update our blog again soon.
